Anyone else seeing almost empty freezers when it comes to frozen potato products? For me it seems to mainly afflict my Waitrose and Marks’ with Waitrose being by far the worst of the two starting about three weeks ago. They’re just not re-stocking at all and as of a couple of days ago all they had left were three bags of McCain Home Fries. Asked in-store and they don’t know why.
My Co-Op is too small to notice much difference and the branch of Aldi has had two or more broken freezers for @ a year now with it being pot-luck what they choose to fill the remaining working ones with.
Is there a problem with processing potatoes for frozen products?
