Instant or ground coffee?
No instant is particularly brilliant, but I don’t mind the Aldi Alcafe “rich roast” (red label) type instant. Its strong enough for a quick cup, and like £1.99 for a 200g jar, so its pretty cheap too.
For ground coffee I’ve actually found in Home Bargains Lyon’s brand ground coffee at 79p for 150g. So its less than regular sized bags of ground coffee but at that price its still ridiculously cheap. Taste-wise its quite rich and strong, with a slightly fruity end note. Probably Arabica beans being used. As we don’t go through a lot of ground coffee in our house the smaller bags are worth it as if we had a bigger bag we wouldn’t use it up before it began to go “stale” and lose its flavour.
