Watching Ina’s latest series of Be My Guest it’s hard to believe that she is 76; now having read her memoir, I realise just how much living she’s packed into those years not to mention how many cookbooks! She leaves nothing unsaid, from her miserable childhood to her ultimate ‘be ready’ moment when she spied a For Sale advert for a food store in the Hamptons… and of course meeting and marrying her Jeffrey.
