How Lisa Druxman Become an Entrepreneur

Starting a business while raising a young child wasn’t without its challenges. “I remember my first instructor meeting,” Lisa says. “I nursed my baby while leading the meeting. That was (and is) the beauty of the business. I created a career that blended work with life, instead of work versus life.”

Lisa’s dedication and hard work quickly paid off. In her first year, she opened 12 Stroller Strides locations in San Diego. Word of mouth spread, and soon, women from all over the country were inquiring about starting their own classes.

Realizing the growth potential, Lisa decided to franchise FIT4MOM. “I had a very repeatable model,” she explains. “I could share my operations manuals, instructor trainings, templates, and more.”

Despite facing skepticism from consultants who doubted the viability of a mom-run franchise, Lisa remained determined. “I believe we are succeeding because we are moms, not despite it,” she says.

Over the years, FIT4MOM has expanded its offerings to include programs for all ages and stages of motherhood. The company’s mission is to help moms become healthier and happier.
